It takes a village...

Our name, Anyaman, is inspired by the Malay traditional weaving technique that creates beautiful, strong objects, evoking the importance of inter-connectivity and relationships in education. 

We agree with the African proverb - 'It takes a village to raise a child', and recognise that strong partnerships with our students' families and the larger community are vital for high quality education.

We believe that since we call Malaysia home, our students need a learning environment that is rooted in the surrounding cultural context. 

We know that great teachers do not work in isolation; open lines of communication, knowledge sharing sessions and guest speaker series form an integral part of our work.
